How to Install a Bench Seat Cover

Trucks are designed to take a lot of abuse and carry heavy loads. As a result, sometimes the little things get neglected, and after years of getting in and out of the cab, the truck seat can start looking horrible. An easy fix is to get a seat cover, which covers up the original damage, and gives you a comfortable surface to sit on. Better yet, they're easy to install, and aren't very expensive, either.

Things You'll Need

  • Bench seat cover
  • Place the seat cover on top of the seat, orienting the section of the seat cover that's meant for the back and headrest of the seat onto the top.

  • Wrap the bottom of the seat cover around the bottom of the seat with your hands, and make sure that the corner pieces are tight to the sides of the seat.

  • Tilt the seat forward and reach into the gap between the back and the bottom of the seat and grab the elastic band attached to the seat cover and pull it through the crack so it goes behind the seat.

  • Reach underneath the front of the seat and grab the elastic strap on the front of the seat cover and pull it toward the back of the seat. Then, clip the hook on the elastic strap from the bottom front of the seat cover to the hook on the elastic strap from the gap between the back and bottom of the seat. This will secure the seat cover to the seat.
