Ford and Chevy have been battling head-to-head since the first day both existed. Mustang vs Camaro, F-Series vs C/K series, Taurus vs Cavalier; one thrusts, and the other counters. The Ranger and S-10 have experienced a rivalry just as powerful as that of any Mustang or Camaro -- but these days, anyone who has one is probably happy to have either.
Because the Ranger and S-10 are roughly the same size and tend to work well with the same wheel sizes, the aftermarket is flush with wheels to fit both. That can be misleading, though, since it isn't always clear that those wheels are dual-drilled for both bolt patterns. Both use five-lug wheels, but the S-10 used the GM standard 5-120.7 wheels; five-lug, 120.7 mm or 4.75 inches from bolt hole center to center. The Ranger used 5-114.3 rims, or five-lug and 4.5 inches. The two won't come close to swapping over.
However, the Chevy's rims will swap with many GM cars and full-sized trucks produced since the 1950s. Ford's bolt pattern has been used by nearly every every American and Japanese manufacturer there is. Aside from related Ford and Mazda products, some of the stranger potential wheel swaps -- using the same 70.3 mm center hole -- include the 16-inch rims from any Dodge Intrepid, the 1991 to 2005 Acura Legend, 1997 to 2002 Isuzu Oasis, 1995 and later Honda Odyssey minivan and the 1999 to 2008 Honda S2000.
