How to Clean Plastic Windows on a Jeep

Jeep has been producing 4x4 vehicles for over 65 years. Their most popular model, the Jeep Wrangler, offers a soft canvas top with clear plastic windows. With regular use, dirt and debris can build up on the windows and become embedded in the plastic surface. Unlike glass, the Jeep's plastic windows require special care and consideration. Glass cleaners and other household chemicals can harm the windows or the vinyl top. Clean and protect your Jeep's plastic windows on a regular basis with mild products.

Things You'll Need

  • Bucket
  • Dish soap or car wash soap
  • Garden hose
  • 2 or 3 soft terry cloths
  • Soft, lint-free towel
  • Plastic protectant
  • Fill a bucket with warm water and add 1 to 2 tbsp. dish soap.

  • Rinse the plastic Jeep windows with a garden hose to remove any excess dirt or debris.
