Removing ink from a car door usually requires only elbow grease and the right type of cleaner. Most types of marker ink are soluble in alcohol and will rub off without damaging the car finish. It's important to test an inconspicuous spot first, such as rubbing cleaner on an area under the car hood to see what happens to the paint. So whether you are the victim of a graffiti vandal or an artistic 2-year-old running amok with felt-tip pens, you can remove the offending ink in a few minutes.
Test an inconspicuous part of the car's paint job before attempting to remove ink. The underside of the hood is a good test location
Spray hairspray or pour rubbing alcohol onto a wad of paper towels.
Daub at the ink to dissolve and blot it off the paint job. Don't rub the ink marks as you will just smear it around the car's finish.
Blot off as much of the ink as possible until the marks are faint.
Use hairspray or rubbing alcohol and clean paper towels to rub off the faint remains of the ink.
Buff and polish the spot with car wax.
