Jeep Wrangler Carpet Removal

Carpet removal is one of the first modifications an off-road-purposed Jeep Wrangler receives. During advanced off-roading, it's not uncommon to encounter streams, rivers and ponds that require fording. Without carpet, you'll avoid mildew and mold growth under the carpet while making your post-trip cleaning easier.

Things You'll Need

  • Razor blade
  • Pliers
  • Use the razor blade to slice the section of carpet between the side of the vehicle and the outside seat bracket. For the driver side, slide perpendicular to the left side bracket, from the center of the bracket outwards. Repeat this same process on the right seat bracket of the passenger seat.

  • Grab a corner of the carpet around the passenger or driver floor board and begin pulling.

  • Pull the carpet away from the seat brackets and out of the passenger and driver sides respectively. If separate from the front carpet area, the rear section should be pulled out without the need for cutting.
