How to Reset the Service on a Peugeot 206

The Peugeot 206, introduced to the European market in 1998, became the best-selling subcompact vehicle in the United Kingdom in 2002. Initially introduced as a hatchback vehicle, the Peugeot 206 came in coupe, sedan and wagon body styles during later years of production. The car features a service reminder system designed to alert you when basic maintenance tasks need to be completed. After performing the required maintenance tasks, you might want to reset the maintenance service light. The job can be done in a few steps.

  • Shut off your Peugeot 206's engine and ensure the ignition switch is in the “OFF” position.

  • Hold the small “Reset” button located below the speedometer gauge.

  • Continue holding the “Reset” button while switching the ignition to the "ON" position.

  • Release the "Reset" button until the “Spanner” indicator light on your instrument cluster turns off. The display screen on your instrument cluster should also read “0” after successfully resetting the service light.
