A Battery Tender is a battery charger that maintains your battery's peak charge when the battery is in storage or not used for extended periods of time. Battery Tenders can be used for your motorcycle, boat, lawn mower, tractor or even your automobile. Battery Tenders come with an easy plug-in method for attaching your battery to the charger. The two-prong connector remains attached to your battery. When you are ready to park your vehicle, just plug it in to the connector on the Battery Tender.
Remove the battery cables from the battery using a wrench. Remove the negative cable first to prevent sparks and possible explosion.
Remove the bolts from the battery cable ends.
Insert the bolts through the two rings of the Battery Tender terminal harness.
Insert the bolts into the battery terminal ends. Ensure that the positive and negative wires of the Battery Tender harness match the positive and negative wires of the battery cables.
Press the battery terminal ends onto the battery posts and tighten the bolts. The battery cable ends should not be able to move when properly tightened.
Connect the two-prong connector from the Battery Tender to the harness connector that you installed on the battery.
Plug the Battery Tender into a 110-volt wall socket.
