Jeep Compass Service Information

The Jeep Compass, a compact, crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV), was introduced in 2007. The Jeep Compass owner's manual provides you with a service maintenance schedule that lets you maintain your vehicle's performance and reliability. Maintenance services listed in the manual must be done at specific time intervals to protect your Compass' performance.

Frequent/Daily

  • Jeep recommends that the engine oil levels should be checked frequently. Engine oil levels should be checked after your engine is turned off for five minutes. Additionally, windshield washer solvent should be frequently checked and filled if necessary.

Monthly

  • You or a professional must check the vehicle's tire pressure, battery, coolant levels, power steering fluid, brake fluid and transmission fluid on a monthly basis. Additionally, all lights and electrical items should be examined to ensure proper operation. Oil changes should be performed approximately every four months or 5,000 miles.

Yearly

  • Jeep advises that tire rotation should be performed yearly or at 16,000 miles. The air cleaner filter should be examined and replaced if necessary as well. Additionally, the exhaust system and front suspension should be inspected once a year.
