In the 2006 model year, the coupe and convertible versions of the BMW 3 Series carried on unchanged, while the sedan and wagon versions received a complete overhaul. The 2006 325Ci coupe, like all the 2006 3 Series models, featured an oil change reminder system that alerts you when you need to change the oil. After changing the oil, you need to reset this system manually.
While holding the tripmeter reset button on the bottom, left of the instrument cluster, insert the ignition key and turn it to the "ACC" position -- the first click. Continue holding the tripmeter reset button until the "Reset" message on the instrument cluster screen begins to blink. Release the tripmeter button, then press and hold it again until the screen displays the new "Oil Service" mileage and then displays "End." Release the tripmeter button and turn the ignition off.
