The ML350 is a luxury sport utility vehicle manufactured by Mercedes. The ML350 comes equipped with an oil change service meter that illuminates when regular service is due. Many automotive technicians reset the oil meter when they perform an oil change. If you change the oil on your ML350 yourself, or if your mechanic does not reset the oil meter, reset the meter manually. Resetting the oil meter ensures that the service reminder displays at the appropriate time when service is again due.
Turn the ignition switch to position "1." Do not start the engine.
Press the system selection button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the oil meter is displayed. The system selection button is the lower left button in the group of buttons.
Press the trip odometer reset button until a signal is heard. Release the button.
Press the forward or back button on the left side of the steering wheel until "Service Menu" appears in the display.
Press the "+" or "-" button on the right side of the steering wheel until "Confirmation" appears on the display.
Press the system selection button until "Complete Service" is highlighted. Press the system selection button once to confirm.
Press the "+" or "-" buttons to highlight "Special Work." Press the system selection button.
Press the "+" or "-" buttons to highlight "Service 3." Press the system selection button.
Press the "+" or "-" buttons to select the appropriate oil type on the display. Press the system selection button to confirm.
Press the system selection button repeatedly until the mileage or temperature is displayed on the screen.
Turn the ignition switch to the "0" position.
