Gas Mileage for a 1982 Honda CB900F

The Honda CB900F was originally one of Honda's European-market-only motorcycles. It made its appearance in the U.S. with the 1981 model. A 901 cc, DOHC, in-line, four-cylinder engine produced 56 foot-pounds of torque at 7,500 rpm that reportedly pushed the CB900F's 580 pounds to speeds somewhat exceeding the 85-mph top speed on its speedometer. The CB900F lacked a fairing and windshield in its stock state. Adding one would make it more aerodynamically efficient, although a desire for increased speed -- not increased gas mileage -- is the more likely inspiration for such an act.
