1994 Ford Taurus Gas Miles Per Gallon

The Ford Taurus was once one of the most advanced vehicles of its time, as it was the one of the first American sedans to introduce soft body lines in the 1980s. The 1994 Taurus still garnered plenty of attention, particularly the SHO model, which pumped out 220 horsepower and 200 foot-pounds of torque from its 3.0-liter V-6 engine. On top of that powerful H.O. engine, the Taurus also had two other engines, including the base 3.0-liter and an optional 3.8-liter V-6.

Fuel Economy Estimates

  • The 1994 Ford Taurus with the base 3.0-liter engine received fuel economy ratings of 17 to 18 mpg city, 26 to 27 mpg highway and 20 to 21 mpg combined from the EPA. The optional 3.8-liter V-6 in the Taurus netted the sedan 17 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. The Taurus SHO and its high-output, 3.0-liter engine afforded the Taurus 16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined.
