An engine lift plate not only makes it really easy to remove an engine from a car, but you can leave it bolted to the intake while the engine is in storage, preventing junk from dropping into the manifold and providing an easy hook-up for your engine hoist if you need to move the engine around your garage or load it into your truck. You can make several engine lift plates in about the same time it will take to make just one, so if you have more than one engine lying around, make an engine lift plate for all of them.
