New NOSzle Revolutionizes EFI Nitrous

In a previous story we gave you a sneak peek at the revolutionary new NOSzle direct-port nitrous system from NOS. This time we bring you the first-ever published NOSzle installation. While NOS has kits under development for other popular EFI cars, it chose to introduce the NOSzle design concept to owners of ever-popular ’96-’99 Mustang GTs (with the return-style fuel system) as well as ’99-½-’02 GTs (with the returnless fuel system). Part number 08100NOS covers both designs and incorporates numerous ingenious (and patent-protected) innovations that will simplify the installation process of nitrous on any port- injected engine while delivering massive power.

On the Superior Automotive Dynojet chassis dyno, our unassisted 4.6L (with five-speed manual transmission) delivered 234.0 horsepower and 284.8 lb-ft of torque at the rear tires. But with the NOSzle system set for a 150 horsepower shot, those numbers jump to an astonishing 383.0 horsepower and 502.4 lb-ft of torque! That’s an extra 149 horsepower and 217.6 lb-ft of torque. Stick around as Mike Flynn, NOS Technical Department Supervisor, and the crew at Joe Jill’s Superior Automotive install the NOSzle kit on Chris Vopat’s ’02 ponycar. Be warned: You’re gonna need slicks!
