Remember when we got all excited over Scion doing the Release Series 1.0 for its FR-S? We were over the moon about the TRD accouterments and the JDM 86-style headlamps, and even the Yuzu yellow exterior color scheme didn’t seem too obnoxious. It was an awesome time to be an FR-S lover – until Toyota in Japan harshed our buzz this week and decided to go one better, unveiling its GT Yellow Limited packages for the 86, which make the RS1.0 look like child’s play.

There will be two main versions of the package, Yellow Limited and Yellow Limited Aero, both sold only in Japan. In Yellow Limited trim, the 86 exterior comes in a special Sunrise yellow finish with painted black 17-inch rims, black side mirrors, and a unique boxer emblem with yellow accents. The interior features leather and Alcantara upholstered seats with yellow stitching throughout (steering wheel, shift boot, etc.)

Outfitted in Yellow Limited Aero grip, add to the previously mentioned upgrades front and rear bumper spoilers and a rear wing. A third set, the Yellow Limited Aero package FT, comes with 18-inch BBS forged wheels shod in Bridgestone Potenza S001 summer tires, sport brake pads, and Sachs shock absorbers.
