Holoshift HUD Tachometer And Shift Light 01

LightSpeed Automotive Technology introduces a trick gauge unit that's sure to get any tech-savvy enthusiast's blood pumping. The HoloShift windshield Head-Up Display (HUD) features rev lights, shift light, launch control, and engine warnings all rolled into one. What's a HUD display, you ask? Simply stated, it's a transparent display that emits data without requiring users to look away from their usual viewpoints. HUD technology stems from military development for fighter pilots being able to view target information with their head positioned "up" instead of looking down at instrumentation.

HoloShift Windshield HUD is designed for auto enthusiasts as the images are projected directly to the vehicle's windshield. This heads-up display projects a tachometer and shift warning light whether on the street or track, enabling you to keep your eyes on the road.

A series of five rev LED lights plus shift light, 500 rpm apart, provide shift timing optimization. Launch lights result in faster reaction times with a green light that lets drivers know they are at launch rpm while amber lights signal to add or let off the gas. The HoloShift operates in two different modes: street (with optional engine warnings) and drag racing.

To operate in street mode, set your desired shift rpm using controls on the device. When the engine climbs to 3,000 rpm below the desired shift point, a yellow LED begins counting up at intervals of 500 rpm. When a red light appears, you are at your shift point. This series of lights repeats with every gear enabling the driver to execute consistent shifts.

For drag-racing mode, set your launch rpm, once again using the controls to the right of the unit. The yellow LEDs below the tach lights will indicate when you are within 200 rpm below or above the launch point, and a steady green light will indicate you are at the perfect rpm for your launch.

Wire installation is a simple to follow process and is similar to most aftermarket tachometers with the addition of optional engine warning signals.
