The new Type III Teardrop shift knob, produced in stainless steel, features an elongated body measuring in at 44mm and weighing in at 430grams with a 15-ounce counterweight for precise shift engagement. For those looking for a lightweight option, the Type III Teardrop is also available in a lightweight Delrin at just 78 ounces with a 2.75-ounce counterweight. Since introducing its CR-Z supercharger kit, Jackson Racing has been hard at work finalizing the California Air Resources Board’s (C.A.R.B.) requirements in order to make the kit a street-legal affair. Jackson states, “We’ve worked very hard this past year to develop a bolt-on supercharger system for what is one of the world’s cleanest PZEV vehicles. Our system includes Hondata ECU calibration and larger fuel injectors, and we were able to pass the strict AT-PZEV emissions standard!” C.A.R.B. EO# D-700 covers all 2011–2012 “factory-tuned” and “FlashPro Tuner” CR-Z supercharger systems for both six-speed and CVT models. That’s right, Jackson Racing has also finished supercharger kit development for the popular CVT model, and it’s available right now. CVT shifting strategy works perfectly to maximize your acceleration with the Rotrex-equipped kit. Acceleration in Sport mode brings about peak torque immediately and continues to accelerate toward peak power.

More tuning solutions
While most were sleeping, Hondata has been wide-awake researching, developing, and perfecting its latest creations for the Honda masses. Adding to an already impressive lineup, the FlashPro is now available for the 2012 Civic Si, 2013 ILX, 2007–2008 Fit, and the 2007–2008 Acura TL! The FlashPro system plugs into your OBD-II diagnostic port and allows real time programming, a variety of calibrations and extensive datalogging, giving you the ability to tune a stock, lightly, or even heavily modified engine.
Also from Hondata is the company’s new fully programmable Traction Control System. This new module commands the ECU to reduce power when it detects a difference in speed between the driven and un-driven wheels. The device analyzes the wheel-speed difference from the un-driven wheels to significantly improve traction while cornering. A dash-mounted switch gives the driver full control for on-the-fly adjustments of target slip rate. Developed over years of hands-on racing and tuning, the Hondata Traction Control gives you the ability to put the power to the ground, improving safety and control on track.
