Mazda RX-7 And Honda Fit Parts - Super Street

This month we update you on two red cars that are not in our possession. Carter's car is diligently taking up space at Finish Line Autocraft, and the Fit is off in burning-hot Arizona in the care of Brian Gillespie at Hasport. Soon enough we'll get these cars back, but then we won't have any room to park them down on G4 since Goggles insists on parking his dad-wagon there like an a-hole.

JDM FD3S Lights
For a while, we forgot that Carter still had an RX-7. Not only does he have way too many cars to keep track of-five to be exact-but they're all getting worked on at different shops. The only car we really see is his 240SX, which had a horrible power leak that would leave his battery dead after every shut down. Though we're glad he got that fixed, you haven't lived until you've seen a Korean hustle to try and pop his jammed hood and jump-start the car by himself. The RX-7, on the other hand, has become a very permanent resident at the body shop. So while it's taking up parking space there like Derrick's car is on G4, Carter figured he might as well put more parts on it.

The bumper on his Origin body kit uses the '99 RX-7 bumper signals so installing JDM FD3S lights shouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong. The RX-7 was discontinued in the States long before we had a chance to rock the cool looking bumper lights. Fortunately, there are companies like Options Auto Salon that import the JDM ones from, well, Japan. On the backside, Carter also got a set of RX-7 taillights through Options. You'll notice the three cool circles separating the lights. Well, we think they're cool.

HKS EVC VI
Leave it up to us to update the boost controller on a Fit that still doesn't run-though it will very soon with Bri Bri at Hasport cranking on it. But we wanted to give you a peak at the new HKS EVC. Yes, they have yet another version, which means they officially have more sequels than the Girls Gone Wild series. Not that we would know. The EVC VI celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original push-button boost controller. It's capable of boosting 2.5bar (36psi) and can be controlled manually through vehicle speed or RPM. All the functions from the previous models are incorporated along with about a gazillion new ones that we still have to learn how to use. We can't wait to get this thing mounted to our giant GT3037S and start some major boosting.

APR Carbon Fiber Mirrors And Wing
While we have no clue when Carter's RX-7 will be back, we do know that he came across some essential carbon fiber add-ons from APR Performance. The Formula GT3 mirrors are a much smaller, lighter and more aerodynamic direct bolt-on replacement for the RX-7. Though Carter will lose the power mirror adjustment and have difficulties merging on the freeway, the mirrors are still bitchen (Hey, bitchen is my word! - JN). As for the backside, an GTC-300 wing will be occupying the rear hatch of Carter's RX-7 sometime soon. Since all this goodness is carbon fiber, there won't be any concern with adding too much extra weight on the rotary monster.
