XM Satellite Radio NavTraffic - Get There On Time Every Time XM - Truck Tronics

xm Nav Traffic screen   |   xm Nav Traffic screen Another time, the black box with green writing stated, "Average speed of 40 mph," and the choices were OK, Current, and New, with the distance from the current position of my vehicle point of entry (2.1 miles) to the new route (+0.2 miles) and then the difference in distance and travel time between the existing route and new route (+4 minutes). I selected OK and it sent me on the rerouted direction. My detour ended up being faster than sitting on the backed-up freeway. My XM NavTraffic trip only took an hour and 15 minutes, versus the previous two hours and 20 minutes without it. I did the most incomprehensible acts for another two weeks: I purposely went out each day to find traffic. I got the chance to experience the system's reporting, information, and routing options when it came to traffic congestion, unscheduled traffic incident data-accidents, disabled vehicles, and weather-related issues-and scheduled traffic incident data, such as road construction and road closures. In my opinion, the XM NavTraffic service is worth the cost of the subscription. The future of commuting and traffic information is here to save you time and fuel by knowing what is approaching ahead. XMNavTraffic
Pros:
*Traffic reporting of trouble spots ahead and re-routing options are available
* Colored-speed road markers, including round icons, state the freeway traffic speed
*Touch the traffic icon and get a readout of the delay ahead Cons
*Lack of timeliness of some incident data or congestion, and not 100-percent accurate
*Flow data is only available where road speed sensors exist, which varies by location
*Smaller markets do not currently offer 24/7coverage, only during commuter hours
