The cover is made of a marine-grade vinyl laminated to heavy-gauge 0.040-inch aluminum slats for extra strength. The M-Series design uses a mounting flange system that bolts to the same holes as the Dodge cargo rails for easy installation. The tonneau cover also features innovations such as a torsion spring drive mechanism enclosed inside an aluminum housing, which also offers an integrated cargo shield. A new hinged lid is present for easy maintenance access. For extra security, the latch mechanism can be used to lock the cover to the tracks in addition to the tailgate.
