Air Alert Valve Caps are valve stem caps that visually alert motorists when their tire pressures have dropped below a certain pressure level. The visual alert is a flashing LED on the stem's cap, which immediately starts flashing when a tire's pressure level has dropped 4 psi from the original pressure. The predefined tire pressure is set at the same time the Air Alert is installed. While a 4 psi version of the Air Alert is intended for most passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs, an 8 psi version is also offered and intended for large heavy trucks and buses.
Air Alert Valve Caps are completely sealed and have a standby life of 2-3 years. When constantly flashing, the battery will last up to 3 weeks. Anti-theft models of both Air Alert Valve Cap models are available.
Recommended Pressure Ranges: 10-60 psi for 4 psi model, 20-160 psi for 8 psi model
