Product Spotlight: Azentek CPC 1200 and CPC 1100: Fully Integrated In Car Personal Computers
Australian and New Zealand distributor Westwell, along with Azentek, introduced the world's first fully integrated in-car PC into the Australian marketplace on October 22. The Azentek CPC-1200 and CPC-1100 are in-car computers that provide users with the features of a high-end car stereo, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, multimedia playback, and automobile diagnostics capabilities. For these PC systems, Azentek won the 2008 International Telematics award for "Best Aftermarket Device." Azentek also won the "Best of CES" award for Car Technology & GPS at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas.

The Azentek CPC-1200 is complete Microsoft Vista-based PC, running off an Intel Core Duo processor. The unit completely integrates with the car's engine computer, allowing it to receive data from the car, such as trip information. The CPC-1200 is contained in a compact double-din unit. The CPC-1100 is similar in function to the CPC-1200, but contained within a single-din unit and lacking certain functions.
Both the Azentek CPC-1200 and CPC-1100 will be available in Australia in December from select carmakers and auto fitters. Pricing will be available closer to the actual launch date.
