Question

Answer
Hi Kate,

Your ticket is between you and the court system. If you feel you did nothing wrong and did not deserve the ticket then you will have to go to court and plead not guilty. Then you will be given a court date at which time you will be given an opportunity to state your case. If the judge feel you are correct he/she will dismiss the ticket. If not the judge will find you guilty and impose a fine.

Just because you were driving a company vehicle does not mean your company will assist you in this process in any way. In fact just the opposite. Your company may take action against you for getting a ticket in their vehicle.

You do not need to report this to your insurance company. If the ticket ends up staying on your record, your insurance company will find out the next time they pull your driving record.

I hope this helps
