Auto Insurance Claims: hydrolocked engine, comprehensive insurance, core charge

Question
Hi
I hydrolocked my engine during a bad rainstorm. I have full coverage due to the fact that the bank partly owns my vehicle at the moment.
Under comprehensive insurance will my vehicle be covered?
Also should I be able to keep the engine once its all said and done?

Answer
You should be covered under your comprehensive coverage. I'm not sure what you mean by being "able to keep the engine," but if the engine is replaced with a rebuilt motor there is likely to be a core charge on a rebuilt motor. So no, you won't be able to keep your old motor.
