Auto Insurance Claims: Denial of my claim, principle operator, claim denials

Question
I am 21 and I live with my parents. I got into a car accident while driving my parents car.  I filed a claim and they denied it. They said that I was the primary user of the car and because I wasn't listed as the principle operator so they denied it. Any suggestions? should I get a lawyer?

Answer
Hi Joseph,

Apparently there is much more to this situation than I am aware. However, if you were listed on the policy you should be covered. You would need to speak with an attorney that specializes in improper insurance claim denials or bad faith claims handling.  They will be better equipped to assist you based on the specifics of state law in your state.

I hope this helps
