Auto Insurance Claims: Insurance Claim Denied, insurance comapny, insurance company

Question
Someone has filed an insurance claim against me stating that i re-ended his vechicle and i have absoluetly no damage on my vechicle and he got a couple scratches on his..there was no injury or anything major and also no police report or no witness. He filed a claim against my insurance as he got all my information. When the insurance company called me I denied this ever happened because my car has no damage at all, will the claim be denied most likely?

Answer
Hi Kevin,

If the accident actually happened, you must tell your insurance comapny the truth. You can tell them that you feel there was only scratches. Even if there are only scratches, if you caused them, you are responsible to pay to repair them. But you must tell them what actually happened. Your insurance company will investigate and will send an inspector to inspect what ever damage is being claimed. If they feel there is damage they will pay for it. If not they won't.

I hope this helps
