Auto Insurance Claims: Will my insurance cover my medical bills, rollover accident, auto policy

Question
I have liability and comp on my car (not full coverage) We were involved in a rollover accident, no other vehichles were involved. My husband blacked out and went off the interstate. I was thrown from the car and had some injuries. Will our insurance cover my medical bills??

Answer
Hi Tonda,

Different states have different coverage on the auto policy. Some states have Medical Payments covererage but, this coverage is usually very small, ie; $500.00 to $2,000.00. Other states have Personal Injury Protections (PIP) coverage. If you have this it will pay your medical bills usually up to about $10,000.00.

You should call your insurance company to see what if any coverage you have for medical bills.

I hope this helps
