Auto Insurance Claims: Motorcycle, independent witness, insurance adjuster

Question
I was turning left onto an overpass, looked both ways  seeing nothing, but turning left I saw a headlight so stopped.  The motorcycle tried to swerve going into a speed wobble not hitting my car but damaging his bike.  I have an independent witness who saw this biker "popping wheelies" and speeding a couple intersections over.  He's trying to get my insurance to pay for the damages, can I fight this?

Answer
Hi Jason,

Yes you can fight this. You should tell your insurance company that you have an independent witness. They should call the witness to take a recorded statement. Be sure your insurance adjuster knows that there was no contact with your vehicle and that no damage would have occured if the motorcycle was not speeding.

I hope this helps
