Auto Insurance Claims: Repair costs estimate for scratches on front bumper, rental car company, toyota camry

Hi,

I was recently involved in a parking lot incidence in Vancouver, BC where my Toyota Camry rented from a car rental company has seen scratches near front bumper as paint comes off.

The rental car company said they will estimate the cost of repair and charges my credit card for the full costs.

I am wondering what kind of ballpark figures will that be?

If required, I can send over the photos taken of the car.

Never seen the car.  As bumper covers are flexable and can hide damage I'd say anywhere between $200 - $2,000.

You need to have your own insurance company document these damages.
Or, you can just trust that the rental car company is just going to proceed and do the best thing on your behalf.
