Auto Insurance Claims: liability only, lability, car accident

Question
On last week was husband was killed in an car accident he only had lability which paid 25,000 bodily and 50,000 property, the other person in the accident was also killed, it was my husbands fault( fell asleep at the wheel) is it possible for the other person to sue me if they feel 25,000 isn't enough?

Answer
Hi Tracy,

I'm very sorry for your loss.

The other party can not sue you, but they can sue your husbands estate. Any assets that he owned and possibly any assets that you both owned jointly could be at risk.  You should contact an attorney to see what can be done to protect any assets that may be at risk.

I hope this helps
