Auto Insurance Claims: auto theft, New orleans auto theft SIU investigation/denial expert

Question
We just had the EUO, how much longer... or do I have to keep making car payments while they continue the investigation? How much longer can they take? The car was recovered. This is in Oregon.
Thank you,

Answer
Hello,

The EUO is the end phase of the investigation. You will most likely be denied because your vehicle has what the Certified Forensic Locksmiths wrongly call an "anti Theft System."
The vehicle was most likely examined by one of these guys and he has determined your key was how the car was last driven, which cause the insurance company to investigate everything about your life in order to support the denial of the claim and possibly manufacture a reason for misrepresentation on your part.

Here is where you are at: If you quit making the ca payments, it will be used as an excuse that you were involved in the theft of the vehicle.

In the event that you are denied, I know a couple of attorneys versed in these situations and you can't just hire any attorney unless you want disaster.

Everything I have told you is general information and each claim is intrinsic.

Here is the problem with CFLs. They wouldn't know a stolen car if they were sitting in one! They are commonly a mouthpiece for denial for the insurance companies that have a vested interest in the claim. They commonly testify to the fact the lock wasn't defeated and rarely remove the ignition lock and perform a microscopic examination on it. They also rarely have programmers to determine how many keys are programmed to operate the vehicle and cannot account for all keys.

It depends on who looked at your car up there. Out of all of these guys in the industry, I only know one who is good in Washington that serves Oregon too. Otherwise, in my opinion, the use of CFLs is a con as related to theft and is also in many cases known as insurer fraud.
