Auto Insurance Claims: how long to file a claim against insurance company, time limit to file claim

i was involved in an automobile accident about two & a half years ago. is it to late to file a claim against the insurance company? if not how long do i have & how do i go about doing so?

If its the other drivers insurer, then it is the same time limit as whatever the statute of limitations time limit is to sue the other driver in court in your state. Check with your local small claims court clerk. If its your own insurer, then it may be too late, unless you have a good reason, because the policy says you have to notify them as soon as (reasonably) possible.
