Auto Insurance Claims: collision claim, oil pan, large group

Question
I was at the casino with a large group of people. Some cars were parked
across the street in a parking lot where we met before the casino. I told
everyone if they needed a car to drop people off who were ready to leave they
could use mine. When i left the casino my car stalled at the stop light. I got
out of the car and saw some front end damage and a hole in my oil pan and
tranny pan. My car had to be towed because no fluid, or oil was left in it. I
was unable to give the insurance company the name of who drove my car
because I did not know and no one admitted to the accident or  witnessed
anything. Do you think my claim will be covered under my collision policy
minus my deductible, or could they deny my claim?

Answer
Hi Tiffany,

The claim should be covered without any problem. Your policy covers damage. As long as it appears that there was some type of collision even if it was damage caused by something in the road, it will be covered less your deductible.

I hope this helps
