I was driving my car and noticed another car on side of the road i slowed down and slid on black ice causing my vehicle to go off the road hit a tree stump and roll over. Does insurance typically cover damage to my car? state pa

Answer
Hi Melissa,
This type accident is called a 'solo loss of control' by the insurance company and you are considered as being at fault since there is no 3rd party from which you have the legal right of recovery.
If you carry collision coverage, your insurance company will repair your car, less your deductible.
This could cause your rate to increase.  Only your AGENT can give you an answer to that question.
I hope this information has been of help.
Your feedback by rating my answer will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Bennie
