Auto Insurance Claims: minor fender bender, minor fender bender, aaa member

On 10/10/07 A "AAA" member rear ended me.  After two weeks and no contact I called AAA,and left a message.  After another week I had not heard from anyone so I called again and was told that the AAA member had not been contacted by AAA and they could do nothing until AAA talked with them.  About a week after that I I received a call from AAA telling me that my claim was had been over to "this person who did not tell me their name.  They told me that I was trying to scam them by claiming that the accident caused about $1000. in damages while I had explained that the estimate I got was $155.00.  Why would AAA do this to someone?  Is AAA really that unreasonable?

This is certainly not normal.  AAA is rated among the top 5 companies in the US as far as quality and service is concerned.
There has been some kind of a mistake here and you should call an AAA claims supervisor to discuss the situation.
