Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Blower Motor 95 Riviera, radiator fluid, blower motor

Question
Where is the blower motor located in the 1995 Buck Riviera? Mine slowly stopped working and needs to be replaced & I'm going to do the job.

Answer
Tom,
From what I can gather from my literature and figures, it appears that your blower motor is under the dash board in the center region of the dash. If you look from the passenger side floorboard, you should see a black housing assembly that all of your ductwork is connected to. This housing also contains your heater core and your evaporator. So, chances are you will need to have the refrigerant recovered and the radiator fluid drained. I personally would not recommend that you attempt this repair yourself, unless you have ample time or a second vehicle. This is typically a rather indpth replacement that can take several hours. If this is your first, I anticipate about 4.5 - 5 hours. The hardest part is always getting to the housing itself.
Also, if you disconnect any door actuators, they will need to be recalibrated before the system is placed back into normal operation. You do this on your vehicle by simply turning the key to the "run " position with the engine off for 3 minutes. Also, remember to disconnect the battery before beginning to disassemble the dash/control panel. Digging around in the dashboard, you could accidentally trip the airbags and then you have a much more expensive repack job on your hands.
If you need any assistance during this process, feel free to ask, I will attempt to help in any way that I can through this forum.

Thank you for your question. I hope I was of some help. If I can do anything more either now or in the future, do not hesitate to ask. If you found this response at all helpful, please remember to rate this answer. Thanks again and good luck in everything.
