Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Heater repair on 98 taurus, taurus 3, chris flint

Question
I have a 98 taurus 3.0 V6. The heater does not blow any hot air. A/C works fine. We have checked all hoses and all hoses are warm. I think that if hoses are all warm that would mean it was not the thermostat. Coolant is OK. Flushed Heater coil and water is clear. Do you have any idea as to what could be wrong and the next step in figuring out what is wrong.

Thank you for your help

Answer
The heater hoses going to the heater core should be HOT to the touch when at normal operating temperature NOT warm.

Possible faults are:

1. faulty thermostat.
2. faulty vacuum/electric operation of the control for the
heater core damper/blend door  located under the dash.
3. faulty A/C-heater control module.

Without a procedure manual in order to test the system and the technical experience needed you will have to have a facility do the work.
