my ac and heat work fine but not on high it does not blow but click down one notch it works put back on high it does not work is it a relay or something its a 85 fullsize 4x4 chevy k-5 blazer the heat and ac will blow hard and make u turn it down but on high it dont work later Art

What previous repairs of anykind have been performed on this vehicle prior to this problem ?. dont know just bought from grandpa it never been driven to hard only has 110,000 original miles  thanks art

Locate the BLOWER RELAY as we need to do some simple tests.

It is usually mounted ON the firewall just behind the Receiver/Drier (accumulator) (Large aluminum round upright standing canister).

The relay should have 5 different colored wires to it.


With the ignition key OFF: The RED wire (terminal "D") should have 12 volts at ALL times. DOES IT ?.


With the ignition key in the ON, Engine OFF, and blower set to HIGH: The ORANGE WIRE (terminal "E") should have 12 volts at ALL times, DOES IT ?.
