Auto body repair & detailing: Painting, wet coats, dust coat

Question
When Painting Basecoat/Clearcoat I Am Having Problems With Overspray Hazing/Dusting/Streaking . Could You Give Me An Indepth Set Of Rules As To Setting MY Spray Pattern.Am Using HVLP With 35# Of Pressure. Thank You

Answer
Hello Lavon

OK:1)Spray a test pattern before you start the job. Your gun air should be 25 for base and 35 for clear;  use separate guns.
2)Base should be applied medium wet, 50% overlap with a slow reducer. If you see streaks in the base use a dust coat to cover them.
3)Be sure to wait the specified amount of time between coats. Follow the tech. sheets religiously.
4)Apply the clear with the same passion. Two medium wet coats , 50% overlap, slow hardener or reducer, wait the specified amount of time between coats.
  5) Now, stand back and watch the magic.

Hope this helps.
