Auto body repair & detailing: Spray gun settings, gravity feed, spray pattern

Question
I'm new at this and I just purchased a Gravity feed HVLP spray gun and the instructions are set up for an experienced spray painter. (Fine tune the gun to desired working settingsof spray pattern). The PSI of the gun is 15-45 psi. Could you please tell me how I go about setting the gun up for the proper spray pattern. What do I do first etc. THANKS ED

Try 35 psi and fan out the spray pattern so it is nice and wide 6-8 inches and practice spraying on a large sheet of masking paper. If it is spraying to wet then turn down the air pressure to dry turn it up. Just practice until you feel comfortable to try a car part or something.
