Auto body repair & detailing: convertible top, chrysler lebaron convertible, silicone glue

I have a 95 chrysler lebaron convertible and my top has a few tears in it and I was wondering is there a way to repair it and have it look somewhat decent? It looks like on an old repair they used a silicone glue to patch it up but its coming apart and it was done poorly and its ugly. Please help...

This is somewhat out of the area of detailing, but what I would recommend you do is call an Auto Upholstery place and ask them.  Convertible tops are made of different types of materials, but mostly convas.  They may be able to replace a panel, or the whole thing may need to be done.
