Auto body repair & detailing: Windshield frame rust/leak woe is me., windshield frame, home remedy

Question
I own a 92 Toyota Previa van with slight rust issues around the top of the windshield.  I know the window needs to be taken out to assess the damage.  What do you recommend I do - take it to a bodyshop?  Are there possible ways to repair this problem?

The only correct way to handle this problem is to take it to an autobody shop and have the glass removed the rust sandblasted. Then repainted. Get a guaranty with this work!
There is no home remedy for this problem.
