Auto body repair & detailing: Paint Removal for Restoration, paint stripper, karmann ghia

I have a 70 Karmann Ghia that I am tearing down for a re-build.  What process would you recommend for three coats of paint removal that I could do myself. I am not sure if I should use a solvent or a grinder or spend some money and get a sand blaster system?

  We appologize for the delay in answering your question, we have been having trouble with our email.
  We use a paint stripper that comes in an aerosol can.  Call your local auto paint supplier and ask for stripper.
Sand blasting will warp the panels.  What paint does not come off with the stripper, use a wire wheel and/or grinder to remove.
