Auto Glass: Suburban Power Window Problem, chevy dealer, regulator assembly

Question
On my 2001 Suburban the drivers window does not work.  In researching I realize that most often it is the motor/regulator.  I purchased a new motor/regulator assembly with cables.  I took the door panel off and unplugged the connection to the window motor.  I tested this lead with a volt meter and showed no voltage when I operated the window switch.  I then plugged in the new motor/regulator assembly without installing it to see if motor would run, it did not.  So I assumed it was the switch.  I bought a new master switch console from my chevy dealer and instlled it, driver window still does not work.  All other windows and power locks work fine.  Could not see any obvious breaks or damage in wiring between motor and switch.  Any ideas??
Thank you!

Answer
Hi Steve,

There are two possibilities: a broken wire (typically between the driver door and the left front interior kick panel) and a fault in the "body control module."  I am not an expert at electrical repairs so I can't tell you much else.  Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Ben ... the power window guy.
