Automotive Plastics: Glue Auto Body Parts, air dam, spoiler

Question
A portion of my front air dam trim cannot bolt back into place.  Can I glue it back to the fiberglass air dam?  If so, what glue works the best?

Thank You

Ty

Answer
Hi Ty, we need you to provide more information in order to try to get a reliable and affordable solution for the problem. I suggest you to try to find out what material is the air dam made of by looking in hidden places some markings that could give us hints to determine the kind of plastic we are dealing with. Then taking some close up pictures of the affected area to devise a good way to fasten the parts to the body structure. Try to determine wether this air dam is thermoplastic (suitable to be transformed or repaired by heat) or  thermoset, in which case we could find some reinforced resin. I would first try mechanical repair and if this is not possible, consider an adhesive. Please send those shots to my mail: manual@bumper2bumpeplasticsrepair.com. I will give you some alternatives according to how complete is the info you can help us with. Thanks in advance
