Automotive Plastics: Weather protectant accident, wax polishing stains blemishes

Question
I bought a car waxer the other day and tried using it to apply weather protectant on the body of my Isuzu Rodeo.  Unfortunately, I was pretty awful at handling the machine, and the result was that white liquid splattering all over my door handles, the spoilers and other parts of the car that shouldn't really have any contact with it.  I've managed to wipe most of it off, but there are white streaks here and there, some of which are still on the car's metal body itself.  Because the stuff is weather proof, water evidently doesn't do much to help take it off.  So now everyone who sees my vehicle knows how lousy I am at waxing.  How exactly do I clean that stuff off, so I can wax it properly the next time around?  I appreciate your help.

Answer
Hi Wax Rookie, although I think this seems to be be a duplicate question, I would use some sttodart solvent (varsol) & with the help of a tooth brush try to remove the wax stains. before the solvent dries, wipe with a cloth. To restore the original looks, apply a mixture 30 percent vaseline + 70 percent varsol (a mild solvent). This works fine in black texture door handles and similar plastic parts. good luck.
