Auto Parts: Keyless Entry FOB for 2003 Toyota Corolla, code sequences, toyota corolla

Question
I just picked up a 2003 Toyota Corolla.  The previous owners had a spart Keyless Entry FOB Clicker which they have programmed for FCC ID:  BAB237131-056, CANADA:  20241021519.

I tried:
Key In and Out x2
Open/Close Door x2
Key In and Out
Open/Close Door x2
Insert Key, Leave In
Close Door
Turn Key to On position (short of start), then OFF
Locks cycled Close/Open
Held Lock/Unlock buttons on FOB for 1-1.5 seconds
Held either Lock or Unlock for one second.

Still doesn't work.  What did I do wrong??

Answer
Hi Don,

I do apologize but I have no notes on foreign sequential-code disablers. I do know that most of those code sequences are in three's and not two's although Toyota may be different.

Most FOB programming also takes place while the brake switch is active too and again, not sure about Toyota.

Wish I could help more.

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
