Auto Parts: ignition switch, neon 2002, dodge neon


Question
HI WHEN I TRY TO START MY DODGE NEON 2002 2.0 AUTOMATIC
NO START AND I TRY TO START WITH THE KEY BUT DO NOT MOVE MORE BUT THE PANEL IS ON  
THEN I REMOVE THE SWITCH ,THE IGNITION SWITCH AND OTHER PARTS BETWEEN THE SWITCH KEY AND THE IGNITION SWITCH , I DO NOT KNOW THE NAME FOR THIS PART
BUT IS A WHITE HARD PLASTIC WITH A METALLIC PART INSIDE
WITH THE KEY SWITCH I MOVE THIS PART AND THIS PART MOVE THE IGNITION SWITCH
THIS PART BETWEEN THE KEY SWITCH AND THE IGNITION SWITCH IS BROKE MAYBE IS PART OF THE STEERING COLUMN I DO NOT KNOW
CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND THIS PART OR THE DIAGRAMS FOR THIS PARTS

Hi Ricardo,

A little hard to understand what yer saying there. Your ignition switch is actually located on the base of the steering column connected to the key-switch via a small, usually metal, rod. When you turn the key, the rod activates the switch and operates the ignition and starting systems. If the rod or the key-switch or ignition switch is bad, the part needs to be replaced.
