QUESTION: can you give me a list of other dodge autos that have a transmission/transfer case assembly that will work/fit into my truck. I am a mechanic by trade but on heavy equiptment and machinery . I have the contacts to get the parts I need but there are no trannys around for my truck. thank you

That's it. As far as 4x4 w/V8's and automatics go anyway.
A long time ago I had a boss, one of my first jobs as a mechanic, and when we'd get into situations like that he'd always say "A good mechanic could make that fit." And to an extent, he was right. If you're not concerned with some minor fabrication, you can practically put whatever combination of eng/trans in there you have the ability to. People cram big-blocks into Vegas and small blocks into '32 Roadsters so pretty much anything goes.
