Auto Parts: mopar overdrive tranny mate to 88 5.2, extra gear, chrysler fifth avenue

Hello, is there an overdrive automatic transmission that just bolts right up behind a 5.2l V8 in a 1988 Chrysler Fifth Avenue? (Why Mopar never put one in those cars, I'll never know...). Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Al,

Sorry, there isn't. You can upgrade to a 704 but you'd need to change the driveshaft too as well as the rear trans mount and crossmember. Not really worth the extra gear.
